Methodology
Each calculator uses transparent baseline assumptions for project size, material cost, labor cost, regional adjustment, and contingency.
How to use these estimates
Treat each result as an early planning range. Contractor quotes, local permitting, material availability, project complexity, and site conditions can materially change final cost.
Formula structure
Each calculator starts with project size, baseline material cost, baseline labor cost, a regional multiplier, and contingency. The result is shown as a planning range so homeowners can compare options before requesting local bids.
Update policy
Calculator defaults are updated when new project categories are added, when formula assumptions become clearer, or when feedback shows that a default range is no longer useful for early planning.
